AL will not be able to participate in any elections: Sarjis
‘No Awami League party will be able to participate in the elections due to the genocide in the 24th uprising. We are moving towards that process,’ said Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the northern region of the National Citizens Party (NCP).
He made this comment at the coordination meeting of the Sunamganj district and upazila committees of the NCP at the Shaheed Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library Hall in Sunamganj on Wednesday afternoon.
Sarjis Alam said, ‘The fascist Awami League, which committed genocide in the 24th uprising, will not be able to participate in any elections. We are moving towards that process. Currently, their activities are banned. I hope that the Awami League will be tried through the judicial process and will have to be banned.’
Sarjis Alam said, Indian hegemony will not continue in this country. Indian hegemony will not be tolerated in the country’s politics. If elections are held without fundamental reforms, then the people will be betrayed. No one will be able to do politics in the future Bangladesh by betraying the people.
At that time, NCP Joint Convener Ehtesham Haque, Joint Member Secretary Pritam Das and Sunamganj NCP Chief Coordinator Dewan Sajaur Raja Chowdhury along with district and upazila leaders and workers were present.
